The location has loud road noise, nothing they can do about it

The bathrooms were fine, instant hot water was nice first thing in the AM, and always clean. Very small dog run, more like a pen.

The fire pits at each site are nice but extremely dangerous because they are holes in the ground with metal rings that are not painted neon or have grates. You can easily step into a 1.5 foot hole walking around your site. Some have stones circling. This is the only real issue that needs to be addressed quickly because of safety.

Easy to find. Easy in and out. Site's for every size unit, tent and cabins to rent. Great Sand Dunes National Park is an easy drive.

Good enough for what we needed. I would stay here again if absolutely needed but I would not make this site a first pick or a destination. We had a tent site setup and I expressed to the KOA member that was completing our booking we appreciated a quiet spot. We got the end location at the far end of the site, perfect! Except when the family of four came in and set up right next to our site... bummer as there were over 10 other open spots available. They were a very beginner group as they shined flashlight at our tent, took random tree limbs from the surrounding area to burn, had loud unhappy children, and stayed up late with their campfire.

Good travels to everyone

I've stayed at a lot of KOAs and they're all great as far as amenities. I'm a tent camper and love it for the laundry, showers, etc. This one had the surliest people working at it. They were annoyed we were tent campers and asked for a site with electric (they had 2) and asked if we just walked in off the street or something. Then I went to the store for ice and it was another production. I tried to be friendly and say hello to the old guy driving the golf cart but he just stopped and looked at me. Basically if you're 65 or over with an RV you're golden...but 40 and wanting a tent site, you're just a nuisance.

The Pizza was very good and perfect for arrival night supper. Good enough that it'll be our last night's feast as well. Delivered to the door fresh out of the oven. Less than $13 loaded with extra cheese. Making me hungry just thinking about it!

The location has major winds, nothing they can do about it - but be smart how you set up your tent.

I fell in love with this Campground and can't wait until I go back. The staff was extremely friendly giving information of the events going on in and around town. The cabin that I stayed in was very well maintained and very clean. The restrooms were very well taken care of as well as the shower room. I will be definitely going back to this place to enjoy the scenery in the area.

Good location to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Nice facilities, however we had a difficult time unloading/loading & riding our 2 motorcycles because the gravel was so loose and soft.
