We had an original quote but based on recommendations, we reduced the number of coats we originally asked for. The owner of blue moon painting said that he would cut the price. I asked for a revised quote a number of times and he said that we would be happy with the price and not to worry about it. No revised price was provided. As the date was approaching for him to paint, he stated that he was tied up on another job and asked he could start a few weeks later and that he would give me a discount for the consideration. I agreed. Over a month went by and winter was approaching. I asked again for the revised cost for the reduction in coats to be painted and how much the discount for the delay would be. He just replied not to worry about it and that I would be happy with the bill. His crew finally showed up and did a poor job prepping the house for paint. They did not have their own ladders so I let them use mine. They painted over bug nests, flaking paint and painted the windows closed. When I opened the windows, it peeled the paint off. I asked the owner of blue moon to come out and correct the deficiencies. He just demanded to get paid or he would put a lean on the house. I didn't want to deal with him anymore or mess with taking him to court so I just paid.
