Town was great, but need additional trash cans. Garbage was scattered and look trashy.
Not sure why anyone thinks there aren't enough trash cans...2 in big dogs and 1 in small. Has some agility apparatus too, although my RUSTY DOG isn't much into that :-). Has human outhouse Too which is kept clean. They have the absolute BEST poop scooper bags. There's quite a bit of greenery growing so maybe the dust won't kick up so much !! Great Place.
When we visited there was nobody there! I have to imagine that not very many people visit this park as I read its construction started in 2014 and I'm the first to review, plus the water bucket was bone dry, it was super clean (not ONE dog turd, not one! No park visitor is that vigilant), and the resident birds were super angry and surprised to be disturbed (you heard that right, puppies, there are birds to chase!) It's a little difficult to find if you're a visitor to Alamosa. It's a shame this park isn't more loved, but we had fun by ourselves with a ball. I imagine it wouldn't feel too big if there were twenty big dogs around, but it felt pretty big to us when we were alone.
This is a really lovely dog park. It has running water, bags and trash cans, a small dog area, and most importantly, lots of shade. It's VERY clean. The dirt is very sandy/dusty so be prepared for a dusty dog and don't wear sandals.
Awesome dog park but not a lot of people going there yet.
