Had been here before & loved the fresh food. This time I was in a hurry & ordered their advertised bbq pork sandwich w/Coleslaw. Very small amount of pork on huge bread. They asked if I wanted the coleslaw in the sandwich or on side. I said side. Received a 1oz. Cup of shredded cabbage, no dressing. I asked about coleslaw & was told that was it! Paid $9.70 for a bun basically. Super disappointed!
The website is appealing and helped us decide to eat here while visiting the area. The food is tasty and I like that it's locally sourced. The service is great.
Good food, nothing great. Desserts are okay, potatoes average. Still fresh and looks good and local food is a great concept. Only 3 stars because the awful music they stream.
A great source of locally sourced food in town. The gyro is made with braised lamb instead of typical "gyro" meat and makes it one of the best I've had. Not a huge kid's menu, but you can build you own sandwich/meal which more than makes up for it. A great experience overall!
Locavores is a great place for lunch, with light entrees like fish tacos and BBQ pork. Their claim to fame is the hyper local sources of their ingredients. They even have a map of Southern Colorado printed on the wall with pins marking where their stuff comes from. They are quite tasty and very fresh. The dining area has a very modern feel with straight lines and simple furniture. One of the most important features for me is they have Pepsi products (mtn dew is my caffeine delivery vehicle of choice). Definitely one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in town.
